1988 - George Bush Sr. was elected President, Perfect Strangers ruled the TV sitcom ratings, and putting "Yo!" in front of any other word made it so much cooler. Most importantly to all of us here at Ardent Enthusiast though: 3 college guys named Toby, Mike, and Kevin met and formed dc Talk in 1988. Now, AE is proud to bring you the online debut of that legendary piece of dc Talk's history: their beginning. Pre.ForeFront Demo Unearthed!
To kick off their search for a recording contract, DC TALK recorded a demo tape titled "Christian Rhymes to a Rhythm" and began selling the tape at their shows. It contained 2 songs, "Always Leaning" and "Heavenbound," the latter of which would serve as their first music video a year later. In present day, every dc Talk fan has heard rumor of this tape but many have never seen or heard it... until now.

Who doesn't enjoy looking back at their high school or college yearbook and remembering old friends? In this case, who wouldn't want to see what Toby, Michael, and Kevin looked like when they met over 10 years ago?
